As almost nothing is impossible for PET plastic, it is the go-to packaging material for supplement providers. These bottles and jars can accommodate a series of dry and water-based products, like powders, pills, lotions, drinks and gummies. Before you buy your PET containers in bulk, make sure to test if this type of plastic is a good choice for your product.
Yes. All our PET containers are fully recyclable. Made of Polyethylene Terephthalate, they can be recycled into new bottles, clothing, carpet and industrial strapping.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) recognise PET plastic as safe for food packaging. It’s best to keep your PET containers in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
PET plastic is completely impervious. This is not to say that every type of cap for your container will be waterproof. Caps without liners or with PS 22 (pressure-sensitive) liners are not the best option for liquids. If your product is water-based, opt for an EPE or induction liner instead.
Whatever is dry or solid. The pressure-sensitive liner creates a protective barrier from moisture for your supplement powders, pills and gummies. The seal needs a dry bottle surface, though, so the PS 22 liner is not recommended for liquids.
The EPE is an economical, general-purpose cap liner, often used to prevent leaking. It is a fantastic choice for all your liquids, like lotions, energy shots and water-based supplements. Unlike the induction liner, the EPE does not create an airtight seal.
The induction liner provides the most protection to your products. Attached to the container by a heat induction sealing machine, the liner creates a tamper-evident seal. It is hermetic, airtight, and impossible to reseal once opened. This liner is perfect for storing pharmaceuticals, personal care products and edible substances. You can leave your induction seal plain or have it printed with a custom message, like "sealed for your protection."
This type of cap is also referred to as a child-resistant cap (CRC), designed to be difficult for a child to open. The user must press down and twist counterclockwise. This mechanism is required for most over-the-counter medications. The cap is usually a good protection against external contaminants.
