This decorative paper lid is designed as a complementary element for our Kraft Takeaway Trays. Create a an aesthetic kraft takeway box that your customers can see through. The transparent window is made of biodegradable plastic (PLA), which makes the whole lid biodegradable when paper and plastic are separated. The two materials are also fully recyclable and bio-based.

All food packaging on the Packhelp website is food-safe as it is made of officially recognised food packaging materials. These include mainly paper, FSC-certified cartonboard and cardboard, sugarcane, PET plastic, glass, and plant pulp (like palm leaf).
What can make a difference is the outer layer that these materials are coated with - but at Packhelp all of those are 100% food-safe as well. Both the classics like PP and PE coatings and bio alternatives like PLA and CPLA coatings are all compliant with food security directives.
That depends on the material your takeaway boxes and food containers are made from. For example, paper and cardboard can be recycled unless they are coated in a PP layer. PE coating in this case is perfectly recyclable. But remember that if your paper bag or cardboard box gets greasy, it is unsuitable for recycling.
It’s a different story with PET plastic - when dirty, just rinse it with water and you can throw it in a recycling bin. There’s not much you can do when your packaging contains polystyrene, though; usually, PS cannot be recycled.
